Tonight I enjoyed the River Road 2007 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with grilled chicken topped with bacon and cheddar cheese with sauteed brussell sprouts.
According to Mark Sisson, because of the acidity of wine, drinking wine with dinner may be healthier than drinking water.
Regarding the River Road 2007 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, my wife described it as "smooth and delicious."
This River Road Pinot has a shallow smell - slightly alcoholic. Perhaps a hint of celery or something else with a little spiciness to it. The wine is very drinkable, but is not a "big" wine or overly bold - probably true to the pinot grape.
